ok a/c i know im gona do but p/s and cruise control are diff stories.
is it worth it at all to toss cruise control its just the little black box in the engine bay right? does it weigh anything help anything? whos done it?
with power steering the way the belt drive works i think the waterpump is forced up against the belt because it streaches to get at the a/c and p/s without them will the waterpump pully slip cuz i dont want that either.
is this job much harder than removing the same stuff from a turboII?
cars still waiting for stuff from mazda before it can go on the road and im antsie

a/c is easy. 4 long bolts hold the compressor to the engine.
P/S you have to make a custom line that loops both steering rack ports.
Cruise, is just that black box/cable. I removed it, just becouse I never use that **** anyway.

thats actually an entire belt you wont be needin..

umm still thinking about ur kit vr6 but with vday and my fathers birthday this month my spendin cash is gonna be streachede kinda thin. dont give up hope i really want those skirts
anyone here have no a/c with the pump and everythign still on. i charged the system and it still blows luke warm air. thats why i wanna toss it.... but subconsciously i think i want to get rid of it anyway

you can just remove the belt entirely..
this will allow ya to test out how the fd is without the ps..
if you still want to run ps.. and run no ac without removin the parts..
all youll need is a belt to run from the main to the ps pulley..
the belts are available.. just size it with a string and match it at the parts store..

^ that is not true, looping the powersteering out and leaving the pump in is NOT the same sensation....it's actually dangerous with the pump in and belt off
if you take a/c powersteering out, you can also take off 60% of the weight from the front pulley
if you take a/c powersteering out, you can also take off 60% of the weight from the front pulley

its on a separate belt entirely if you werent aware..
sensation as what may i ask..
of course it wont be the same sensation.. as the ps is no longer assisted..
are you referrin to a manual steering rack in comparison..
as far as dangerous.. hows that any different than that of the bypass loops some are runnin...
please explain..

i was under the impression also that tossing the belt and leaving in the pump is a bad idea compaired to removal of pump block off plates or bypass valves whatever it is you have to do

i don't understand removing these parts.. i removed cruise cuz i never use it.. and well i hate having that extra throttle cable to remove..
as for a/c and pwr steering.. the FD has great pwr steering.. manual rack is just a bit harder and gives you a little more feedback.. i've owned manual rack cars.. its just i don't care either way..
i live in FL.. its a bit hot here to remove our a/c less you just use the car as a track car.
