Hi guys,

I just got done changing my spark plugs using the how-to on the scuderiaciriani site. When I first started the car up after finishing, I had a weird idle. The TACH needle jumps between 2500-3000 RPMs. It wasn't the cold start because I pressed down the clutch and put it in gear and it still had the funky idle.

I followed the instructions on the ciriani site so I didn't undo anything I was not supposed to (unlike my tranny oil change). So does anyone have any ideas?

-plugs not in the hole far enough?

-undone air hose somewhere?

-something to do with the TB flappers?

I dont know if I may have kinked the harness that went into the side of the TB. Or maybe it had something to do with how I removed the TB cable. I guess this is a sign or something from the rotary god. Maybe I shouldn't be doing my own work.

Also FWIW, the car is a lot louder. And in nuetral I can make my HKS SSBOV go off loudly at 0-5 PSI. It sound like the secondary runners are open or something.

I just took some pics and I took of the elbow and TB again.

In the first pic I can hear air hissing whenever I manually flip the secondary flappers. The air sounds like its coming from the yellow thing (check valve?) but it's hard to tell.

The secondary flappers I'm talking about are the ones in the second pic. Are the flappers in the second pic supposed to be like that or are the supposed to be shut?

I had similar problem, idle was jumpy and stuff. Turned out to be that hose that's coming from PCV valve to the oil filler neck was split. You might want to check that. I also heard hissing noise and idle was around 2-3k up and down all the time.

In your picture that PCV looks very dirty, you might want to change it, I don't know.

hahaha, I was just about to post saying that I found the problem, and it was the same thing you posted about. I went over the steps again, and I found that one of the hoses leading away from the oil filler had come undone.
