This car is actually my dads. He bought a 93 with a destroyed engine (blown doesn't cut it for how bad this engine is).

First and foremost I need an engine. The one in it is blown. I should really say destroyed. It is blown to pieces inside not 1 good piece...well maybe the eccentric shaft.

I need a good engine - I have a hook up at a Mazda Dealership and can get a factory rebuild for $2K.

Anyone else knwo where I can get a good engine?

I need a clutch too. I want to add we are keeping the car as stock as possible. The only real mod will be a cat-back.

Where can I get a good deal on a clutch??

I have an ACT in my FC and I am happy. I have been told the Centerforce Dual Friction is a good clutch.

BTW - We had the twins rebuilt by Majestic Turbo. Like I said Stock.

We want to race it in the AutoX in the Super Stock Class and kick some vette ***.

Thanks for your help. I am a whiz on FC's the FD's I am not sure where to get things for.

ya, see what you can do. the smaller of the 2 act clutches (the 30% one, i forget what they call it, grande?) with a stock disc should be all you need

I'll look into the ACT streep strip. I have that in my FC.

Turbo II - Like Russell said it is a stock class. This is the one place in the SCCA where a Rotary can still rule and not be chocked by stupid restricions made to only slow down the rotary.

It is proven a C-5 cannot gain much from a cat-back but the FD will. That is about the only mod allowed.

Thats why I am jumping to B- Prepared I tried to run them in A-Street prepared and they have way more horsepower. If I follow the rules I can get maybe 225 RWHP whereas a Z-06 can have upwards of 450rwhp. The funny part is I am only about 2 tenths slower at the end of a 40 second course.

In B-prepaered I can run unlimited power against them

And they against you...

Yeah ASP really screws 3rd gens. You can do intake and exhaust, but you can't use any sort of boost control?

I'd rather jump to BP and keep my engine thank you.

I've heard Malloy Mazda sells cheap remans, I believe they are on the East coast somewhere? I think they were just below your $2k... probably not enough to justify shipping it...

Yes the vettes cand vipers can run unlimited horsepower. I am running my FC in B-prepared by the way. After we rebuild it I am expecting more horsepower than I can ever need.

We are street porting it / Extrude honing the intake/ Throttle body mod. / Porting the exhaust manifold / 3" Downpipe-midpipe / Reducing the weight as much as possible.

Thanks for the tips fellas. Hopefully you'll see me and my FC in Topeka next year.
