Did you make sure to reconnect the plugs on the cabin side of the wiring harness. There are a couple of connectors (blue I think) that go to the gauges from the wiring harness. That would be a good place to start.

Yea I have to agree with Danny you are missing a connector somewhere. Go thru them one at a time. I know it's a pain inthe **** but you gota be patient with these things.

If you don't have a workshop manual yet then download one here. www.iluvmyrx7.com

danny is right. all your signals for the dash are out of connection (from memory...not positive of the number) X-14 which connects the dash harness to the emissions harness. and i believe he is right, it is blue. i think it is an 11 pin connector.

btw...the regular manual is NOT going to help you. the electrical schmatic book is the one you need. i will check mine latter and let you know for sure.

the www.iluvmyrx7.com download has the schematics in it. Although I don't think you will need them. Make sure to back track a make your check list complete. Don't forget the ones that come back to the ecu. One could just be loose.

I checked all of them the wierd thing is the odmeder works with the key in the run position but when you start it the numbers are gone and i dont think the fans are kickin on, and the oil pressure gage just pegs over 120 and stays there here is a pic of the dash with the car running

Ok, well i've just got done rebuilding mine about a month ago, i can already tell you what it seems that your problems are. first of all there are 2 wires on the electrical harness in the engine bay (not the engine wiring harness) that run to the 2 sensors, (oil pressure sending unit) and (the temp gauge).

It seems as if you might have them crossed, does your temp gauge work? The voltage being sent by the wrong gauge can cause your oil pressure to go to the wrong reading.. remember gauges run off of resistance.

Also, there are 4 yellow connectors that plug into the ecu, and i believe 4 blue connectors, (making 2 complete connections) make sure each blue connector is hooked to the corresponding one, since they look alike, and you can get them mixed up. also make sure the 2 grounds on the ECU are grounded to the chassis inside the car.

are you non seq or seq still? just wondering, i only use about 10 wires from my wiring harness.. but my car is having its own wack problems that nobody on this board or any other can seem to find out.

also, your Tach signal comes from your crank angle sensors on the front cover.. make sure they are CORRECTLY hooked up, that can cause a bad tach signal, plus shitty idle, since the car will NOT fire correctly. plus does your coolant buzzer stay on?
