Thumbs down

How much would you ask for it? This is a completely hypothetical question. I am not selling my car. I am just wondering if I were to decide to. What I would ask for it? I see some way under priced and then I see some way over priced. I also don't know that mods drive the price up very much. If anything a bone stock car would be worth more to some. Then you have to wonder if it would make more sense to just part it out considering the car has alot of aftermarket parts and a really nice black interior.

Vitals,

1993 touring, 72k on the chassis, 10K on the second engine. Single turbo with all the goodies. I am third owner. Good service records, All the original paperwork, Interior 9 out of 10, exterior 9 out of 10.

What would you say is a resonable price tag?

i'll give you $35 and a bag of skittles.

seriously, i know what you mean about the under/over priced thing. I let my 93 go for $12.5 ..... and it still needed some love. If your FD is 9/10 like you claim... i wouldn't let it go for less than 15k... might take a while to sell... but **** em.

With only 72k on the chassis and 10k on the second motor, good condition, and a single setup your car should sell for atleast 20k, looking on autotrader your finding fd's with like 100k +miles priced overly high.

88k.... ported engine... all the bolt ons... interior needed work... a few dents outside..

IMO... a 93 isn't worth 20K.... stock or highly modded.

I guess I've been influenced by the overpriced ones on Autotrader and a few locals who have tried selling half assed ones for way 2 much.

My buddy Ryan already offered $16k in cash. I told him that it was not for sale. I would be dreaming to expect 20k for it. I don't think that the market would support that kind of a price tag for a quirky japanese car from 1993. Even if it is faster than most cars on the road. I paid $16,500 for it when I bought it at 40kmiles in 2001. I don't know that I would take less than that. I am starting to believe that parting it out would be the way to go.

yup... part out all the go-fast stuff, install a bunch of stock parts back on it.... then sell the car.

id say put it closer to stock and ask 20k for it. nice fd's are hard to find. we've got one in the shop now that they want to sell for 18k, its orange, horrable paint, c west kit, motor is rigged, and it doesnt leak so much as spray oil out.
