Fd35 Daily Driver "myth" !i!i!i!i!
#1
I recently sold my 1st gen in hopes of purchasing a 3rd (FD). But as much as i hate to admit it will be my only source of transportation. What is the life span of a 13b-REW? With some mods (porting, lil more boost, and a slighty larger turbo with ecu and necessary fuel upgrades)? Also in favor of ditching the stock twin turbo what size single turbo would give the same performance as the twins?
Thanks alot for your help guys

i daily drive my fd...well that is until i decided to go single and now as i near completion i will probably daily drive it again. my car's previous owner used it for a daily driver also. i think it will be fine as long as you take car of your car. the car was totally stock when i got it and it had a rebuild at 96k on both the turbos and the engine.

I store mine during the winter. With the reliability mods, you should be fine. A single turbo is better, reliability-wise, is better than the stock twins. plus it's more power, and that's always a plus
but if you beat on any car, no matter if it's an RX-7 or a Yugo, you're going to eventually run into problems.
Just take it easy on her, and she won't give you any grief
