me too. I enjoy driving in the rain, but snow is too dangerous when it gets over 1 inch.

i love my FD to death. even though she isn't going to move for a while, and is covered in a layer of dust, i still get an ear to ear grin on my face when i go out to the garage and work on her.

Heres a nice addition to this post.

If you have ever sat at a stop light and someone pulls next to you, then asks what kind of car that is you will appreciate your FD. I love to here someone say, " Thats a 93"?, I thought that car was new!"

All of us have had our aggravations with our FD but in the end we still love these Rotary power houses.

The subtle curves will make this car look it belongs in the new millenium but was actually built in the early 90's.

The speed and power never stop amazing me.

I refuse to drive it when it's snowing out because oklahomans, generally speaking, don't know how to drive in the snow. Hell, in the RAIN I always see stupid accidents and I've nearly been hit SEVERAL times because of the people here... Here on base however I can drive her all day everyday.

i appreciate mine, i was able to jump it off the side of the road hit a tree on the way down and walk away. the bonus part is the damage wasnt structural, so i was able to return the favor and put it back together

nice to hear its not in hibernation..

frankly dont understand that concept..

and why owners feel they have to resort to that during the cooler months...

there are.. afterall nice clear winter days to run your fd in..
You know, I said the same thing as I read/heard of Mr2/Supra owners putting their cars away for the winter months but like you, I said "why not?" and kept my Mr2-Turbo on the road.

The only thing that sucks is you have to be sure that if you drive to work in clear skies, that you listen for an afternoon forcast for snow. I actually had to drive on the highway for 30 miles in freezing rain last winter.

Also, even though it makes sense to garage the car the day its snowing, there are several days afterwards where the roads are crap...dirt everywhere...salt...and left over snow.

I think most that garage their Rx7/Supra/Mr2/Sports car do it because of the "elements" of winter, a lot of times it's hard to get around it.

As for my future FD, I am probably going to keep it insured for the three "winter" months (although last year it went for like 6 months) and probably let it sleep most of the time (depending on snow).
