Hi guys, last weekend I was driving on the highway to a see National drift comp, half way there my car suddenly lost power. So I quickly pulled over, when The car was station and idleing i noticed the whole engine bay, exhaust system and even gear **** inside the car was wobbling, the car was idleing around 600rpm and would drop to almost 250rpm if i reved it. I managed to drive it home, it sounded like a subby and felt non-turboish. So a week later i started the car, i stood by the engine bay and reved it abit, i could hear a hissing sound coming from the near the throttle body, so i had a look at the vacuum hoses and found that one of the hoses were missing, im not sure if its missing or if it wasnt meant to be there as my FC has an engine conversion to a 13B-REW. I really hope the engine isnt blown, i haven't got time to do a compression test yet but Here are the pics.

Engine Bay

Here is the missing hose/plug it is behind the throttle body where all the other hoses are.

Yea that's the slave bleeder, so there should be no hose there. Unless I'm missing something.

i can't view your pics on this damn comp, but i had a similar problem once and it was due to a vaccuum cap popping off of a valve just under the UIM beside the throttle body.

Despite the sign on the fan shroud, I don't think you have a 13bREW either. Not sure, but it looks like someone just grafted an FD intake manifold on to an S5 motor.

EDIT: OK, I think I see what they did now. I stand corrected....maybe.

Check your MAP sensor. It's labeled "Sensor-Boost" and should be near the T-body with a single vacuum hose leading to it. Make sure the hose is attached at both ends.
