Car loses power...
#1
Dont really know where to ask this but here it goes.
car loses all power when trhe gas pedal is floored. if i keep fromk flooring it, say bout 1/4 of an inch it flies. the second i press it for that extra 1/4 inch or so, nothing, nada, zilch, zip...doesnt matter what gear, rpm or speed. the commander shows the inj duty at 0% when this happens. it doesnt "catch on" again till 1400 rpms or so and then it revs till maybe 1700 rpms and dies again.
any and all input will be appreciated.
thanx

i think your fuel system is crapping out.
remember when my fuel system was losing fuel pressure, it did the same thing, the car would buck and die when i gave it a little too much gas, but when i was driving slower, or was just accelerating fast and steady, i didnt feel the diffence.
why dont you try to play with your throttle while the car is in neutral and parked from under the hood, see how your fuel pressure is acting as you open the throttle. see where your fuel pressure is going, it should increase as you open up your throttle. if there is something wrong with your pressure, it will lower as soon as you open the throttle, and slowly build up again. i hope that helps you rule out fuel pressure or find out that it is that.

If you have PFC, Check your TPS reading when gas pedal is depressed. you could do this without running the engine. Just turn on the car and check it. It might be your TPS and sending weird signal to your ECU and causing this issue. Or, depending on your set up, could be some kind of vac. issue. Do you hit your max PSI?
