My first run at the 1/4 for the day and here is what happened.....I think my clutch slipped so when i shifted to 3rd I bounced off the rev limiter. Cars dies mid track...lights were on the dash..I turn it over will rolling and it starts roughly. (14.6@70 yahoo!)Continue to get my timeslip my car dies when i stop. rough to start but get it back moving until 10 seconds later ultimately it dies and wont start. I tow it 100 miles back home.

It trys to turn over but weirdly the rpms don't budge from "0".

I checked the plugs for spark i have spark.

All fuses look good

Check the engine codes i have one for the 0xygen sensor.

I figured it was flooded? No luck cleaning the old plugs

reset ecu, new plugs, atf, tried it with a jump...nothing..I can hear the compression pulses. Will have to do a compression test in the am. I'm confused though, your supposed to do this test with a warm motor.

Using a wrench on the main pulley it turns fine. Oil level is fine, coolant looks fine, MAP sensor is on.

Any other suggestions? It went from running normal to dead in seconds... TIA !

if the rpm's are 0 when you crank, there is a good chance the ecu is not seeing the signal from the crank sensors. why this would happen due to your run down the track, I don't know.

You want it over 80 psi. If your finger is plugging the hole, it should take about 16 pounds of force to hold it on.

How's that for unscientific measuring!

if the crank sensor isnt telling it to run it wont. When my dads mustang just died on me driving it it turned out that some snow gunk had got on the crank pully and cracked the crank sensor.
