I have bad cracks in my secondary turbo manifold on the stock twins. Has anyone ever tried to repair them? Has anyone ever tried to purchase either 1/2 or the whole manifold seperatley (US or JDM) from the whole turbo unit?

Is it feasable (converting to parallel) to custom build a SS manifold sharing one wastegate or two SS manifolds? The turbos have no shaft play and were rebuilt 25k ago.

Mazda here wont sell individual parts off the turbos, just the assy..

As for repairing it. I have seen people weld them, but time and time again they crack again..

Maybe find a set where the turbos are trasked but the manifold is still good? Im sure they are around..

^ I beleive that would be the exhaust manifold and not the turbo manifold or housing if you prefer. ...but thanks, anyhow.

I would try a specialists to repair the cracks in the exhaust turbine housing. Such as www.locknstitch.com. I know a couple of people that have had cast iron cylinder heads and exhaust manifold repaired by them with no problems.

I had my turbos rebuilt by Majestic Turbo in Texas and the second turbo exhaust housing had to be repaired. It was still perfect 14k miles later when the turbos needed rebuilt the most recent time. They had a cast iron specialist repair the exhaust housing, I don't know exactly who.

BTW I think all rebuilt turbos are a waste of money. I am on set 4. At least they were all warranty rebuilds.
