A/c Recharge
#2
it depends on if you have the old(r-12) or the newer (r-134). If you have the old. go to a parts store and get a "retrofit" kit for like $50. it comes with new fittings, freon and oil.
If you allready have the new freon. go buy 3 cans @ $6.00 each and a recharging hose for about $10.00
If you buy the "retrofit kit" it will come with instructions on how to do it.

I just got a quote to recharge the r-12 system in my 3rd gen...200 bucks, I was like f*&% that! Went to wigity Wall Mart and bought the conversion kit for 33 bucks. It was super easy to do and is blowing nice and cold now. Just don't get caught venting the old R-12 as you have to purge it before you add the new stuff.
