#*&$. my clutch has been slipppin quite a bit lately, and recently my BOV and new clutch came in. well fri i installed the BOV, and am waiting on the clutch install. today i went for a nice long cruise just to hear the beautiful sound coming from the BOV. went to my friends house, pulled in and the car starts idling VERY rough, and the throw out bearing is making very loud rattling noises. now my question is that if a clutch almost completly goes will is cause the car to buck and idle rough? it almost feels like the enging isn't getting fuel. there is also a slight clanking noise when i release it into gear. now i've checked the compression and boost, both fine. engine temp oil pressure all fine, no leaks. to sum it all up WTF do i do? i'm definately goin to change the fuel filter to be safe, but i know you guys have 100X the expirience i do and would love the input.

Replace the clutch and swap you fuel filter(I think that is unrelated though) and go from there.

well ****** great i started the car this morning, and a whole bunch of white smoke came out the exhaust. now i'm not lossing any fluids, and the car is idling extremely rough. i don't this this has anything to do with my clutch at all. could someone please give me some possibilties on what this issue could be? i have only had the car a little over a month, it only has a little over 40K miles on it, and i have put about 1K on it. it drove great when i bought it, and the compression was fine! car ran perfect. WTF

Well the smoke could mean seal failure, but you are not losing fluids. How old are your plugs? That might have someting to do with it. BUt I am just guessing.

Car still drivable?

-If not roll it into street and start it with clutch out in gear...you'll hear a pop.. and it'll run fine without throwout bearing noise

Did the smoke smell alot like gas?

Your engine flooded, or got close, and ya just burnt up alot of gas..it happens.

Exhaust a little louder?

Check all of the exhaust gaskets or take it to a mom-n-pop muffler shop that will check it out for free on those lifts.

Also...is the a/c on?

Cause sometimes that causes a rough idle.

You also might want to check your ground wires.

I'm not an expert but umm..well I'm not an expert. Just a few suggestions.

dude the best thing you can do is take it to a pro, sounds like electronics, could be the computers screwing up thats what ussually makes them idle rough and blow smoke. just gussing though

thanks for the input guys i was starting to think it was the o-ring. i was going to cry, but i'm not losing any coolant. i'm 100% sure there is an exhaust leak, so as soon as i get the chance it's going to a pro. would resetting the ECU help out at all?
