Breaking Into Fd!

get a car alarm with large flashing red light inside.
95% of the time they will leave your car alone.
dont leave loose items that people would want to steal. prevention is the #1 way to combat crime. always take your radio face off, even if its to put it in the glove box or something.

[quote name='Fd3BOOST' date='Jun 13 2005, 01:22 PM']The weather stripping on the window pulls back very easily. With that pulled bac k it leaves about a 2" gap bewteen the glass and the door frame. So then you take a coathanger bend one end into a hook. Run it down and lift up the hatch button. Viola! you just got in your Fd without keys.
My advice is get a loud car alarm or park indoors.

If by hatch button you mean your rear hatch button, then why not disconnect the power to the button to where you have to use your keys to open the rear hatch and render the button inoperable. The thief would spend a bit longer trying and hopefully get caught, give up and/or bust a glass and still get in. Just my 2cents......

[quote name='bostwick' date='Jun 13 2005, 04:41 AM']It's parked for good in my buddies driveway...we have people that know it is there and we can't always be there to watch it....alarms are only good if car batteries are. And if the neighbors are friendly enough to not come out and beat the **** out of your loud *** car, then I would like to meet them....plus they are not my neighbors, they are my buddies.

Do the epoxy thing. Also, if you havent already, invest in a simple car cover. Keeps prying eyes from seeing something they wanna steal. Also would slow them down 30 seconds or so, which might be enough for someone to intervene.
