Black Smoke & Rough Idle. Need Help
#1
Start the car today for the first time this winter, I had to floor the gas padel to make it happen. The car first ran fine when stayed around 2k rpm, once the car was warmed up there is burning smell and black smoke comming out of my tail pipe (plus the idle jumps around under 1k rpm). BTW, I am running single turbo with PFC.
I checked the vacumm line that goes into the MAP sensor, it's still connected. Anything else I should look for? If this is cause by my initial flooding, how can I fix that?
The engine feels like it's going to stop anytime, I will be hesitate to drive to the shop like this.
Thanks. OY

Englewood NJ, 30 miles away from you via Rt.80 :-) Are you going to be around here any time?
Just spoke w/ KDR, he said the car has been sitting for too long so he suggest just take the car out for a ride on the high way for 10 mile and the problem should go away.
I hope it's easy as that, since it don't sound to hard to do I will give it a try first and see what happened.
Otherwise, come and visit me Jon

No Mike, I didn't touch the primaries. Only the 1300cc on the secondary.

hmm ok go with daves advice i have seen the 850's in the primary spot slip off its o ring, then you have a vacuum leak and fuel dumps in too, so you get that symptom

Before I went single conversion, my car used start right up no matter how long it's been sitting or how cold the temperture gets.
