Well I blew my rear today. Funny thing was I wasn't racing, just accelerating from a light. Got on it in 1st, shifted to 2nd, then boom! Nasty grinding and dragging sounds from the rear. I'm almost possitive its the diff. I'll probably drop it in the next few days and look it over. Whats the best upgraded unit? I know there is Kaaz, Mazdaspeed, Quaife, RE-Amemiya, and Cusco. I don't drag race much, but do from time to time. I want something that would work well on the street, road coarse, and drag. I've been in a car with a Kaaz and it made alot of clunking. I'd prefer it to be quiet. My Labreck bushings clunk enough as it. Vosko's RE unit is quiet, but I don't know if I could get a good price on one. I'm tight on funds now too. Any advice?

I just looked at the Quaife website and don't see an rx-7 listing.

Kazz is the ****!!! well worth the money.... I installed mine and got some "clunking" because I put in cheep gear oil in order to break it in.. then after about a 500-1k miles I put in the Kazz gear oil that came with the diff. Clunking went away...

I couldn't say as I have had no experience with any aftermarket diffs. But Rikki put in a Cusco once on a buddies car and said it was easy to install and was pleased with the quality off the part. He did make mention of it bieng noisy though.

Well lets put it this way... If you race a lot, and your ***-end slides around (I know mine does)..get a aftermarket Diff and you'll go strait!!!

Vosko... I would definatly recomend Kaaz gear oil....infact, do you know where I can get some?? :yum:
