I just got an autometer water temp guage and it has a huge sending unit...its O2 sensor size. Where is it supposed to be installed?

Thanks,

Sean

I am guessing you have the mechanical gauge. I previously had one of those with the huge temp probe. I didnt want to drill any holes that big so I went to home depot and bought a bunch of fittings that allowed me to "T" into the throttle body coolant line. That location would usually give me low readings though. I have since switched to the autometer electrical water temp gauge, which has a much smaller sensor that allowed me to screw it into one of the factory screws on the thermostat housing. It gives me much more accurate readings and is an easier install. I would reccomend switching to the elect. gauge.

you have to tap a hole in the thermostat housing, anywhere else will give you inaccurate readings
