get a voltmeter, and per the meter, turn it to miliamps, and move the the + wire over to the far left of hte meter. put them both on the negative terminal on the battery....the car and all the accessories off.
basically, you need to do a parasitic drag test, and this will tell you. i do not have my VOM here in front of me, and can not actuall tell you the way to do it w/out seeing your volt meter, but you can cruise up to the dealership, or consult a manual and do the test yourself......i think that if it reads like ~.10+ mV, you have a drag, but again, i can not remember right off hand.....
hope that this helps...

since you recently replaced the parts, check the wiring that was involved.
if you get the car started, try disconnecting the battery with the car running and see if it keeps running, this will confirm if the alternator is doing it's job. if it dies you have to test the alternator, and check the wiring for it.

I had a similar low voltage problem 6 mos. ago. I'd be driving and all of a sudden the voltage would drop, my dash lights and stereo would click on and off. It drove me nuts. I ended up regrouding the battery by making several grounding straps with some heavy guage wire connected directly to the Neg terminal and to different points around the engine bay. Try it.

okay.....
i went through every electrical connection inside the engine bay here's what i found.
the place that fixed my car did not put it back together very well, which created an oil leak and oil burning in excess through the exaust. i found oil all over everything inside my engine bay, including the master ground wire located near the crank pulley. the protective surround around the copper wires is completely gone and oil soaked copper is exposed. i believe there is now oil running throughout my electrical system (near the engine bay at least where all wires go through.) i also found A LOT of plugs with out connections where my p/s and a/c pulleys used to be (most likely from the removal)
where the cruise control used to be, there is a grey plug that has been cut.
what is causing my problems? what is an easy fix for this?
