1993/1994 RX7 R1/R2 Value
Hello everyone. New to the forum and just had a quick question. I am in the market for a 1993 or 1994 RX7 R1 or R2. I drove one when I was in high school (11 years ago) and did some extensive work on my buddies car so I am familiar with the mechanical workings of them. However, I am finding it difficult to determine what I should pay for the car. On edmunds.com it is telling me that a prime example of a base model from 1993 to 1994 with around 60K on the clock is worth around $11,000. Unless the cars have a significant amount of issues or are automatics, I never see any of the cars going for this much. KBB is closer to the prices I'm seeing at $16,250 for a 1994. The range I see is anywhere from 20-30K for a pristine low mileage show car. Drivers are in the 14 to 20k range. I'm looking for something that is a driver 50 to 80k, very few if any mechanical issues, 5-speed, R1 or R2 package. What would be a reasonable price for one of these? I know this is often difficult to determine, but I want to start with some baseline when I do find one that is worth negotiating for. Thanks for everyone's input!

for the mileage you want to get, between 15-18k depending on paint, mech issues and other "modifcations" that have been done to the car.
stock cars tend to be on the higher end of that because people like to have a good foundation to work with, ie hasn't been messed up by the previous owner. because lets face it, 90% of "kids" that mod these cars did it quickly and not really clean.
