well, I was driving back from the mall this afternoon when a horrible buzzing sound (not unlike the redline buzzer that we all know and love) goes off over my stereo, along with a lovely little add coolant light on the idiot cluster. so, being the prudent driver I am, I swear loudly, and pull over into a gas station, well, it turns out one of my hoses going into the engine has (had) a slit in it, luckily, it was right next to the clamp into the engine, so, with the help of a gallon of antifreeze (my radiater had almost completely emptied itself onto the road) a pocket knife, and a 10 mm socket, 10 minutes later I was on the road again, good as new, now, my question is, should I replace this hose, since it broke once, it may break again? or should it be ok, and this was a fluke accident?

Play it safe and get a new hose.

I would replace the hose I had to help a friend change a blown hose on a Fiero and that was a total mes. I just changed all mine and found a couple that were ready to go anyway.

hmm, I guess it would be a good idea, not like it is all that hard anyway, mmm, all SS hoses would be nice, this may be the excuse I am looking for.

Doing SS braided lines would be quite a bit of work, as well as alot of money.
