so whats your winter projects?

mine is to put the s5 conversion on my car. Im not doing it to be a "me too" car, im doing it because I have had this car the same way for so long that I need to change it up a bit, and because I have had the parts laying around for a few years so why not.

Im going to remove the doors and trunk and paint the jambs- they are original paint. While the doors are off im going to remove the chip guard from the lower portion of the doors.

Put a aluminum hood on the car- I currently have a steel hood due to the cost of a aluminum hood when I painted the car a million years ago. I have TII side skirts for it, and im going to modify the S5 front bumper a little bit.

Im also going to put coupe tailights on the car, being that I will lose the keyhole I can run a emergency trunk release cable out the bottom of the car should the one in the car fail.

Lastly new rims and tires, well not NEW rims, but new to me, 3piece volk gtu meshies that I am going to take apart and restore, give the car that era correct look ( unless I come up with a set of Aegis wheels instead )

Lastly I got some sweet mazdaspeed leather seats with custom slides/brackets, while I have the seats out I might put the black carpet that I have had sitting around for like 5 years in the car. I also have black s5 door panels but im not sure if that will look good with the rest of my gray interior.

I got to get to business at work and get some things done, but hopefully I can sneak the car into the shop and get cracking on somethings so I can have the car all ready to go when the warm weather comes around, right now I have not started the car in over a month.

I've ordered a bunch of stuff to freshen up the C30 Dooley. Got the dash. Still waiting on the headliner, seat upholstery, and carpeted floor mats. I think I'll have a friend spray at least the hood in the Spring. The clearcoat is shot to hell.

Got a set of stainless wheel simulators to cover up the white-painted steelies, too!

As for the RX-7, I might get around to fiddling with my fuel map, maybe even put in new motor mounts.

I need to get the Rx-7 into the body shop to have the FC2000 knockoff and the (not so wide) 30mm "widebody" fenders and quarters painted. I need to get crackin on the brackets to mount the Hella lamps before that can happen.

I almost forgot I have to replace my wolf with the newer version I have, but I think thats going to wait until I redo the fuel system and tune it for E85. Will be able to switch between a super unleaded map and a E85 map just incase I get stuck somewhere with no E85.

Rx7

Finish the S5 conversion

Get the turbo installed, plumed, working, and tuned

Replace the rear subframe, with TII diff and axles

and maybe if the funds become available.... Roll Cage

Mx-3

Fix the stupid stuff that is wrong with the KLZE swap, replace timing belt/water pump.

tranny rebuild

and gather some more parts to do the turbo on it, already have the turbo manifolds.

KLZE in a Mx-3 sounds like a fun ride.
