Why are there two bleed nipples for the rear caliper?
#1
Always wondered about this.
I bought a pair of rebuilt calipers from mazdaspeed motorsports. Cheap... 90 each with 20 core charge per caliper. Mazdatrix wants 200 USD per caliper for remanufactured ones...
Anyhow... Why are there two bleed nipples for the rear caliper?

i dunno but you should see a doctor, i dont think nipples should bleed.
and in all seriousness tho, i believe one you are supposed to open when compressing the pistons, as its not recommended to compress the pistons and push the fluid back through the system. i know on caddie's it used to **** up the ABS ECU. But yea i think one lets less air in so bleeding after compressing the piston is easier. i cant remember what the caliper looks like tho, my car is running good so i dont bother it.
kevin.

I thought it was because, you could put it on either side and you want to bleed the top one so the air escapes. It has saved me before, broke one, and the other worked perfect, makes it almost idiot proof.
