white film in oil filler neck

i noticed a white film in my oil filler neck, i thought it could be a dreaded internal coolant leak but the oil isn't showing any signs of coolant contamination. so is it a coolant leak?????? oh ya my car is an S5 turbo

Ive seen it happen just from condensation in the sump before.

How often so you drive the car? Has it been sitting for a while?



Id just wipe it out and see how long it takes it to come back. If you havent changed the oil in a while, might as well. But if youre not noticing any other areas of concern, Id just keep an eye on it.



How do you have the sump vented?

Condensation more than likely, cooler time of the year short runs and engine doesn't really get warm. That's right where it will form too.
