Ok, I left a message at the nearest dealership last Wednesday about getting a thermostat replaced, and they still haven't called me back. I'm going to try giving them another call in the morning, but can anyone else suggest a place that I could get a new thermostat? I keep reading how OEM t-stat is the only way to go in our cars, but what if I can't find a dealership? (the one I called is 30mi away, the next closest one is 60mi, and I don't mind doing it, but that's a long way!)

Mazdatrix lists 2 thermostats that would fit the 7, one's listed as "86-88" and one says "All rotary thru 88." The former is listed as $14.63, and the latter was listed at $3.57. I wonder if there's any sort of a difference? :/

The thing that is 3.57 is the gaske for the termo gasket not the thermostat

O got 2 thermostats the other day for the 7, one from mazdatrix and one from the dealer, They both were not OEM, no jiggle pin. Mazda is starting to change them to a inferior brand just like the oil filters.

Just got a good name brand at the parts store unless you can find an original with the jiggle pin or make your own hole.
