I know this should go in the times slip area...and once I scan the timeslips themselves later today, I'll put them there..but I just wanted to post in here really quick since they're arent alot of FC guys over in the racing sections...
Last night RX7CMS, RXTACY, and myself were up at the track...and RXTACY(sorry if the SN is spelled wrong) had his '91 NA up there. He wasn't planning on running due to a weakening clutch...but rx7cms and i kept poking at him enough to run...this boy lives 5min from the track and spent a lot of time back in his escort and probe days(dont flame...it was all in good taste for practice) practing the light...it paid off. He pulled constant .5__ lights and made some good improvements with the car. Several weeks ago the best the car would do was 11.2 in the 1/8th which really isn't terrible for a stock s5 NA w/ a K&N filter and exhaust leak...but last night we played around enough and got it down to a 10.6! Usually 10s in the 1/8th equate to a 15 in the 1/4...i think this was very impressive..but after about 4-5 passes we could smell the clutch down the track and called it quits. I just want to give mad props to Jason for his awesome lights(when he didn't redlight at least, lol). He doesnt have a PC, so I'm gonna post his time slips for him later tonight...10.6 stock NA...not bad...not bad at all...
SORRY FOR LONG POST!

Oh yea...****'n Ay...it did have those clogged *** cats a while didn't it? Well...that is probably where the extra power came from then...but the airpump really didnt give him anything...they only rob like .5HP from the motor,lol...but yea..I'll tell jason that when I go up on friday to give him back his timeslips...sooo what this tells us is that gutted cats & k&n filter result in a high 15 to low 16 sec NA s5?? lol..cool...

it has a K&N cone filter, no cats or air pump. and a exhaust leak. I think the times would be a lot better if his clutch wasnt on it way out . He order a centerforce dual friction and a new lightend flywheel, so after it gets installed we will post the new times

Yea...I tried scanning the timeslips last night, but our scanner at the office was messed up and took forever, I'm going to retry tonight. You'll be able to notice the 60' times get worse and worse as his clutch began wearing down...
I'm sure with a new clutch and flywheel and either a new exhuast, or at least repair the existing exhaust leak...the car could be in the low 10s, possibly high 9s...
chris...email those pics of jason to me at rotaryman@rx-7.net if you get a chance, i'm working on some stuff for the site...
