I did a compression check on my car the other day and I had 93 for front and 73 for rear, so I did that ATF trick with MMO instead to maybe build up a little compression but it still is idling at 1000-1100 rpms. It also backfires alot just idling but if you go over 4000 it stops backfiring. It also smokes a little to when accelerating but that might still be from the MMO. Has anyone fixed a problem like this?

high idle has a load of possibilities, mainly vacuum leaks, check your intake tube as well
