Well, when I get my GT-X back...I want to get the most boost(safely) possible with the stock turbo. I am running 3 inch DP and 3" exhaust the rest the way back. I have a good intake setup too...but my TMIC is kinda messed up..I'm probably gonna go FMIC soon...but is there anything I can do to get more boost from the turbo itself? Or even better performance. I've heard of people who "ported" the wastegate...can this be done..how? Also, is anything I can remove, trim, put on, etc...that will help the original turbo boost. I want to get at least 12psi on a daily basis. I have a TurboXS boost controller too(the bleed valve kind). Any help....

Porting the wastegate just helps to prevent boost spikes. If you want more boost you'll need some sort of boost controller, but you need to upgrade the fuel system.

uhm....with what you have you should be hitting around 12 psi if not more.... stock i think you get between 6 and 7 psi (correct me if I'm wrong)....with 3" DP, a bleeder valve and a free flowing intake you should hit 12 psi with no problem...eventually you will have to upgrade your fuel system, i agree, but to reach 12 psi you SHOULDN'T have any trouble at all.... upgrading the fuel is always good when running more boost though.....

Yea, I'm doing more fuel mods when I get it all good and running. I'm adding 680 or 720 injectors and the APEXi S-AFC...I'm thinking the 3rd gen fuel pump and stock 540s should be good for now. Thanks.

they should work fine for 12 psi....are you using a fuel management system or upgraded ecu? if so then you shouldn't have any worries...

Stock ECU for now, and no extra fuel management. I'm hoping w/in 3 weeks or so, I'll get the APEXi S-AFC and the larger injectors....we'll see...
