I got my first rota (series 4) yesterday and found that the sunroof wasn't workin so i decided to to open it manually using the emergency winder (hey... it was a nice day).... bad idea.... now i can't get it to fully close (still using the emergency winder) I can get the entire front edge to go down into place....and the back right hand corner will lower itself properly.... but the back left corner doesn't lower at all..... winding it further just makes a clicking sound (not good)

Its impossible to see how the roof actually works, which is making it real hard to fix.

I just need to get it closed manually until i have the time and money to get it fixed.... any ideas on what may be wrong with the motor would be helpful too (pressing the button doesn't do anything, and the fuse is ok)

cheers...

The motor for the sunroof is probably shot, it happens. My sunroof motor isn't that strong either. I have to push up on it with my hand, then the motor can do the rest. It sounds like your left track might be jammed. Have you tried just pushing down on it? I wouldn't be afraid of braking it, because it sounds like you'll need to replace it anyways. FC sunroofs don't last long from what I've seen...I don't know why.
