Next summer I want to go stand alone. Which one would be the best for me? What do the various stand alones offer (microtech, haltech, etc.) and what are the positives and negatives about each?
Thanks

Best :
Motec: Cons ~4K
Haltech E11 Good unit high cost US Company tech support BLOWS
Microtech: Iniitally quite a good value, however that has changed. Us Tech sipport is spotty
Autronics. pricey but decent, has a "self-tuning" feature available
Remember any Stand-alone is only as good as the install and tuning. They are not a substitute for a engine in poor mechanical conditition. John

I went with the wolf 3d 4.0. the 4.0 setup is very similair to the motec, and the software is night and day better than the haltech. Plus the support is A++++++++ Can't say enough about how great the wolf guys are.

This months issue of Turbo magazine has all the standalones in it, you can compare all of them to each other.
It tells you which ones are rotory compatiable too.
Turbo has gotten VERY tech this year, its all tech.
