Unhappy

when my car boosts i get a popping sound like someone is making popcorn and my cars starts to hesitate a little. someone had told me that i am running lean, yet people at my work are telling me that i am running rich. so i was wondering if anyone else had had this problem before and how did they fix it. car has RB down pipe, car sound cat, RB fuel-cut controller, 255 lph fuel pump and an HKS intake. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!!!!!! I LOST TO A STOCK GSR ON THE FREEWAY!!!!!!! T^T

You really need a wideband AFR. If you're running the stock injectors, it seems entirely possible to me that you are running lean under boost with that list of mods.

You are hopefully aware that the easiest way to lose an apex seal is to run lean under boost.

I'm using the LM-1, but I don't think they make it anymore. Not to worry. Get one of the new and improved ones!

Last time I checked, Summit Racing (and I think JEGS) was selling their stuff.

when was the last time you changed your plugs? are you sure its just not an ignition break up. my built motor does that when the plugs get burnt . i throw in some new plugs and its all better.

put some new plugs in the car, you might be chacing an ignition break up. a fuel filter will also help. if your tune worked well for a while and nothing changed there then i would look at the disposibles , ie plugs, ect

Yeah, a little more history might help someone diagnose the problem. Was it running alright before? Did you make any recent changes?

well i was able to push it hard back when i was running the old leaking injectors then after i replace them with the same OEM spec ones i ran into this popping sound and hesitation. i am checking the plugs and replacing the filter tomorrow so i am hoping that that will fix the problem.

If the problem started with the injector change, I would revisit the injectors. Could be a broken wire, bad connector, bad injector, etc.
