Someone Please Help Me!
#1
ive posted this on 2 other forums and no one will respond or help me! pleeease someone help.
I just have a few questions.. that i need to get answered before i finish my fmic project. Hopefully you guys can help me.
1. Their was a small vacuum line going to the TMIC and it connects to the UIM i think, can i just cap it?
2. I took out my AC and their was a ground strap going from one of the bolts on the compressor to the body. Is this whats grounding the engine? does the engine need to be grounded?
3. My thermostat on the radiator has 2 wires going to it that i unplugged when I took it off, does it matter wich way the wires go on? If i reverse them will it screw up?
4. I found this vacuum hose and nipple open.. i dont know if this hose goes on this nipple or not, and i dont know what its for.. hopefully someone here does..

1. Not sure
2. Yes the engine needs to be grounded. There is a small wire at the top of the engine that goes to the firewall it barely does the job. The wire you found on the A/C stud might be someones extra ground. It is common to add another ground to these cars.
3. you can switch them its just an open or close thermo switch.
4. It looks like a silicon hose and they fall off a lot. You have a hose and a nipple..hmmmm.... yeah, put it on there. It looks like it should be on there.

to #1 if you are going fmic you can plug that on the manifold. but keep it if you go tmic and it on the replacement i/c if not plug it.
ADDED: sorry reread you post trace the line that you had going into the timc find out were it goes. going fmic might eliminate it but then it looks like it might be sending some kind of air pressure somewhere. trace it and find where it goes and get back to us.
