they go under the dash to the ECU, the engine compartment side of it has to be unplugged one at a time.

the 'easy' way if you just need to disconnect it from the rest of the car, is to go inside the car, lift up the carpet like you would to service the ECU... then disconnect the gang connectors that go to the ECU from the harness you want to remove, and there are some other connectors by the kick panel that you need to disconnect. Then just go back to the firewall, with a tool like a scredriver or something, gently pry the grommet away from the firewall (it's just kinda pushed in there into a lip) and pull it out of the firewall into the engine bay. Then go back in the car and make sure everythings cooperating on that end, check to see that nothing is still connected no tape holding it in place etc and try feeding it up to the hole... go back to firewall and pull it out gently...

we did this on sevas car, it took just a few minutes, it's alot easier with two people so one guy can be under the dash feeding it up to the hole while the other guy pulls it out into the engine bay. This method leaves everything else intact in the engine bay so you don't have to disconnect any of that B.S. unless you need the harness for the other engine.

Same why I do it....leave all the connectors on the engine...its easiest to pull it with as much still on it as possible, its goes much faster.
