Some issues...
#1
I'm close to finishing the break-in period for the engine (2,400km now, will be finished tonight)...I've noticed some things,
1st : Oil pressure gets near 8 when accelerating (usually shift around 5krpm) ...is this normal....whenever i drive normally, it stays around 6...which seems to be a bit high....i use 10w40 castrol gtx
2nd: i know my idle speed isnt set properly (going to mazda thursday) but whenever i start the car for the first time in the morning, i need to give it gas or else it stops. when its warmed up, no problems. could it be timing + bad idle speed???
3rd: drinks gas like a **********er, i mean 1/4 tank for 50-60 miles...
4th: smells gas too....normal for a rotary...i doubt...leaking around pressure regulator + front 2ndary injector....they might need cleaning + new seals...
5th: overall power = less than i espect for a 146hp engine....raced against a jetta 99 4cyl, accord 89, sunfire 4 door, and KEPT UP with them....something has to be wrong....6 ports seem to be working...
