Slight Idling Problem
#1
This isnt a real big deal, but it seems to be getting slightly worse...
When its warmed up, it idles normal(around 800), but sometimes(more often then none) fluctuates from 500 to 1000 for no apparent reason:
ie. I'll stop at a light, it'll idle fine for about 30 seconds, and drop to 500RPM then back to 750. But sometimes, itll actually go up to 1000 RPM; then drop to about 400, then back to 750-800.
Ive done all the normal things you would think of(TPS,Variable Resister, A/F...etc). The only thing I've done recently(about 3 months ago) was put a used AFM on it(the old airfilter melted into it) from the junkyard. Seems to work fine, but I dont know if this is what could be causing this. Could this be the water temp sensor causing this? Maybe the ECU going bad? TPS gone bad?
Its an 88 SE...
Any ideas would be great.
