basically what would i need to drop in a series 5 13b into a series 4 RX7, my car is a 88 GXL and there are good running RX-7s but most of em are all series 5. i found one for sale for 500 bucks and the engine runs sweet but the car body/interior is trashed, its also a series 5, my engine is blown in my 88 GXL and i wanna swap the good engine into my RX7. thanks for the help.

I guess you could swap the front cover and everything if you wanted couldnt you? then you would just have a s5 block with all the s4 stuff. But if i had a whole s5 in my hands id swap it all over, and im sure there is some great reason mike said this to begin with being how smart he is.(*** kissing is great)

as in wiring harness/ecu and what else? i dont have the car yet, i dont get paid for another 2 weeks. i believe the mass airflow sensor is different on the intake assembly, the series 5 redlines at 8 grand and mine redlines at 7 grand, what problems would i encounter ? keep the info coming , thanks

how does the oil injection system differ on the series 4 and 5, i believe one is mechanical and one electrical? and the mechanical is more reliable if i am not mistaken?

If you swapped in all the s5 it would include the ecu, wiring harness, engine, drivetrain?(i think, maybe not), and basiclly everything else engine related that ive probably forgotten

the one i found for 500 bucks is an automatic tranny, mine is a 5 speed, so the ecu on the one i found wouldn't work right anyways because mine is a 5 speed? i love all these little headaches, lol
