I have the SAFC NEO in my s5 TII right now. And i recently put in a MSD 2-step. But for the 2-step to work correctly, I had to wire in 2 solenoids to cut out the trailing coils when activated. So when I activate the 2-step I lose my stock RPM gauge, and the RPM gauge on the NEO because the trailing coils shut off. And that's where they get the signal from. But If i turn the car off, and then restart it, the stock tach and the NEO tach both work again...

Will this effect the tuning on the NEO? It does not display the RPM in digital or analog at all. So will it still read RPM and make tuning adjustments when it gets to those RPM?

Can I wire the RPM signal wire from the SAFC to another area, like the tach output on the 6al?

Yes it will effect the safc, if it is not seeing any rpm signal it will not know what to do. Everything on a SAFC is rpm based. There is a pink wire in the drivers side corner of the engine bay, you might try and connect it there.

There is also a tach signal lead coming off the leading coil you could use. Its the short wire with the black single pin connector coming out of the ignitor in the coil base.

That is the pink wire I am referring to.

I think its pink anyway. I have not been under the hood of my car in forever.

Already fixed it, thanks

I ran the RPM wire from the SAFC to the MSD 6al tach output.
