I'm trying to decide if I want a multi-purpose drag car/auto-x...I mean, I love accleration..and its fun when you go heads up against somebody and kick ***...but I also enjoy the twisties...ah, decisions...maybe I'll just throw this rollbar(yea, I've had one, just never used it) in and do a multipurpose car...whats your thought?

I'd go multi-purpose. Not every road just goes straight.

Damn 1Revvin, you really want to see him get his site up, don't you?

multipurpose for now, then decide which one to specialize in. Difficult to have a good setup for both auto x and drag racing without a lot of work between events.

Dude I'd personally go with a street car.... sure 1/4 mile is fun and all that.... but nothin can compare to tight-*** corners at insane speeds bro..

I got to feelen that way one night racen a modified Firebird commen back from the city at 3:30 am (empty freeway)... nothen like the feelen of flyen onto and across a huge bridge at 210 kmph (130 miles) then hitten a 4 mile straightaway, given 'er and watchen the bro fade into the distance...

gave up the drag strip after a few trips like that....

just my opinon.

Get a coil over suspension with adjustable shocks.

Get yourself some extra rims with different type of tires so you can setup the car for different events.

I know what you mean. I'm goning to go autox and drag this year more.

Yea, I've still got my old 14" phone dial rims that I'm putting some NITTO slick on...or maybe BFs..dunno yet...but I'm not tearing up my street tires, thats for sure!

It would be an absolute SHAME to waste a car with 50.2% / 49.8% weight ratio on drag racing!! =P See you on the corners =)

like its been said...multipurpose!! autox is FUN as ****!!! its also fun to run at the strip and guys on the road, but i just personally enjoy a car more if i know i can take a hard turn and not hit a damn tree. For that you get a stang, slap some skinnies on the front, and some chunky *** drag radials in the rear, do a little work, juice the **** out of it and there you go...
