On the road again...

Well, I got everything put back together after my wastegate port job. Amazing, it runs! I replaced the EGR with a block-off plate and installed a K&N filter in the stock airbox. I'll run that until I decide to fab a TID and run a cone filter. I also did a long overdue coolant change. I've had the car since March, and who knows how long that crud was in there. It was yucky--almost black. I flushed it out pretty good and refilled with Prestone.
I bolted up the HKS downpipe, the Bonez cat, and a little 45 degree downturn that a local shop made for me. It's LOUD. I drove it around a bit, keeping an eye out for cops. I didn't see any, and fortunately none heard me.
I can't wait to run it at the strip on Sunday to see how much faster it is. I plan to have the new fuel pump and the FCD in it by then!

Youse guys will be among the first in the world outside of Richmond to know! I'm hoping it'll break into the mid-14s. I'm wondering if I should put the new Yokohama's on the rear? Will they bite better than the old Dunlops I have back there now?
