Hey I was just wondering what model fc's came with the red and white lights on the doors? I have na 86 base that doesnt have them and the black door panels i ordered do, will the panel fit and how can i wire the lights if it does?

 

I have an '86 GXL, and mine are R/W. I think everything ABOVE "Base" model had them on there.



I don't know why you WOULDN'T be able to wire them... Fer cryin' out loud, it's TWO WIRES!



Pos and Neg. They come off of a small clip that has two leads on it. It's basically just an extension after the door switch.



What would be a good idea, is clip the wires from your existing lights (You DO have lights on the doors, don't you?), between the lights, and the clip, giving yourself a couple of inches to play with. Clip the Red and White lights in a similar fashion, use a couple of in-lines to connect the new lights, and <Sim-Sim-Ala-BIM!> there be Red and White lights on tha doors!

I have a set of Red/White lights if you need 'em. I'm gonna use 'em, but kinda don't want two GAPING HOLES where they used to be.

you might get lucky and the wiring be in the doors already for the lights, alot of times its cheaper for them to make one harness then to make seperate ones.



then again its a mazda so who knows, lol
