my homies 86 gxl, when drving and slight turns or bumps the rear end comes loose, like the dtss system is coming online, whats wrong w/ it? Its dangerous, i can't see any broken parts either.

Jack up the rear and see if you can move the wheels back and forth.

What does that tell you if the rear end moves around because I have noticed that my 86GXL does that every once and a while

If the the rear steer bushings are loose or worn out the rear wheels will "steer" quite a bit unexpectedly.

I believe if I'm not mistaken, The 2nd gen rear ends are suppose to toe in under braking to give more control to the driver. There are bushing that are probably worn out.

This is something that Porsche started in the 928 (Maybe even the 924).

I had it happen to one of my wheels, but it was because I didn't tighten the bolt enough.

Yeah, that could also do it. alot of RX-7's are getting up there in age, and the bushings can start to wear out as well. Summit sells the Energy Suspension bushing kit for about $90.
