Rear Axle Compatability

hey guys, im getting a new rear axle for my car casue mine is shot(cv joints and im too lazy to replace just the join lol) so i was wondering if a S4 and S5 axle are compatable??



also, are they side specific?? like if i get a drivers side axle, will it fit on my pass side??



lmk asap casue i found one but need to know if it will work or not!

but i was asking if S5 TII would fit on an S4TII! i know that na and tII are diff, but i dont know if sence the s5 hass a viscus diff, it the casing was different or not preventing the drive axle to fit on my S4 clutch type diff!

The stub axles are different for the viscous diff's, but the halfshafts themselves are the same through both series.
