Question about sparks and turning over
#1
Alright, so I am finally nearing the end of my project (S4 NA -> S5 TII) I have a water leak between the LIM and the block which I know a means of fixing (spoke with Brian at BNR about it, he had same problem with his T2, told me how to fix). That is the mechanical side of the story. The electrical (big fat demon trouble) problem is that the car does things. Right turn signal turns headlights on, left turn signal (so far) makes main relay click (driver side corner of firewall *two plugs*) I did manage to get the car to finally turn over but there was no spark.
My question: Could the coils be bad? I mean I know these are one of the last things to go in this instance. I have all the plug wires unplugged. I have my CAS plugged into the pass. side harness to a plug around the solenoids. Is this right? the plug did fit so I can only assume its correct. I question this location however, because on the NA that plug (CAS) is a part of the driver side harness. I dont know much else to do for these problems other than to ask the wise ones themselves.
Anyone, please help. Any info would be awesome, thanks

the s4 has the CAS wiring on the alternator/charging/left side harness.
s5 is on the engine harness
i dunno what ecu/harness combo you're using, but if its a s5 harness and stock ecu, and you have it plugged in on the s4 alternator harness, the cas is hooked up to god knows what

Lol, true. I have S5 T2 engine harness and CAS plugged into that. Driver side is S5 NA harness which so far is working. Accessories and things work for the most part. My front relays (turn/headlights/fan/etc.) are a mess right now.
I am told the EGI Fuse could be bad and also to double check all my battery cable connections. I relocated my battery to inside the cab and used a battery cable distribution block to serve as a connector for the alt and starter. It was loose last time I had problem so I am going to check again along with other connections.
