Thumbs up

Trying to find out if it would be worth the money to put a turbo kit on my 88 GXL, guy is selling custom turbo kit he made for his N/A, but didn't give me a answer when I asked him if it is safe for daily driving. don't want to kill my GXL since its only running car i've got right now.

Question here is, should I get the kit, which he said includes DP and all that stuff or would it compromise my Drivability and life of the car Drasticly? (in other words, kill it with in the next 2 years)

any opinions, comments, advice greatly appreciated.

it can be done, but make sure to set aside money for proper engine managment, I wouldn't do anything major like that to my only car/daily driver. I've seen people ruin their lives turning their daily driver into their race car.

i've seen people ruin their lives by getting married, or reproducing.

boost it

whats the worse that can happen, you fail and ruin a 80's sports car? all the more reason to do it.

If you have a second car do it.

I have a **** box to use when my car is being modify, when it breaks i don't have to be borrowing others people's cars.

you can come after me all you want, if you do things based solely on what someone says on a internet message forum, you have bigger problems

not really going by stuff said on here, just trying to get some opinions and some info (dunno much bout turbo's)

So maybe I'll wait, maybe my FB will be running again before the guy sells it. if not oh well. I can always look for a Turbo kit later on in life (Like tax return time ), or just try to find a TII and keep my GXL N/A
