ok, so i replaced my upper airpump bracket about 6 months ago and now the damn thing is broken again along with the back of the part of the airpump that attaches to the bracket. i took it to a guy who used to werk for mazda and he said he could weld the pump but he would have to search for a bracket. i have read bout removing the air pump but i don't take my car over 6 that often and besides i like my low end. so im trying now to get some options. if i get the pump removed will i have to remove my cats, could i electronically open my 5th and 6th ports and is all this viable on a limited budget.

any feed back would be appreciated its just pissing me off cause i was going to buy a new radio this week.

I imagine someone on this forum or another has your brackets... hunt them down, others have probably removed the air pump on an s5 when doing their mods.

Thing is, it's weird that the thing would break in the first place. Especially twice. Is something else amiss? Does the pump turn over easily by hand? Anybody else heard of this?
