PLEASE HELP, throttle stuck @ WOT

Unhappy PLEASE HELP, throttle stuck @ WOT

I went driving with my friend to show him the car, we went for about a 2mile drive, went speeding down the road, came back to get another friend , i drop the clutch into first get up to about 4-5 grand get ready to shift and the car just jumps straight to 8grand and stays there, scares the crap out of me i shut the car off, turn it back on in neutral it jumps straight to 8grand again so i tow it home look at it and the gas pedal throttle rigging looks fine, the pedal isnt stuck , can someone help me ? i think its the throttle body its self but im not positive.

Does the throttle body linkage move freely? Can you open and close the throttle body by hand (with the engine off)?

Yeah , it moves fine . I think its the throttle switch now . Do you have any ideas ?

Sounds like the cable is binding up. Have someone get inside the car and push on the gas pedal while you check under the hood and see if everything is moving properly at the throttle body or if it sticks wide open. Make sure the car is off before you try this.

Try lubricating the cable with some lithium grease.
