So you just need 1 housing and 1 rotor, right? Make sure to check the water seal grooves for any signs of cracks or warpage. The area near the spark plug holes gets very hot. Have fun cleaning off all of that crud.

one side housing has some grooves too....... i'll probably want a used rotor. i might go with new rotor housings from mazdacomp. we'll see though. i want to double check the parts i have castrol superclean to clean the crap out of everything. i still have to clean the engine bay too

New rotor housings would be a good idea. How bad are the grooves in the side housing?

Hopefully, being that mines a Jspec w/ "low mileage" it won't be as bad. Keep us posted...
