how hard were you driving the car right before it died? Beating on a turbo 13B with the gas light on is not a very good idea.

I thought when the fuel light goes on you still have like 1.7 gallons or something.

check fuses, see if you got any pressure at fuel rail. running low on fuel can kill the fuel pump in the tank by overheating it. i would make sure it is getting power if you have no pressure.

How would it overheat if it's getting no load? If anything it would draw less amps.

fuel pumps overheat BY getting no load, there partialy cooled by the fuel that pass's thru them if i remember correctly, run the pump for to long with no fuel and you'll overheat and fry it

^what he said, fuel cools it as it passes through it. Running out of gas in any eingine is horrible, and like stated above, if the gas light came on it should still have a couple of gallons left to get you to the gas station. Its pretty bad for ur whole fuel system to run out, try unflooding it, maybe the gas you refilled it with flooded it, pull the egi fuse and crank it a few times, then put it back in and crank it.

the sales dept thought they ran an rx8 out of gas, they put 3 gallons into it and it still didnt start, car turned out to be flooded. it may have run out of gas, but flooded when they tried to restart it
