Now I'm Screwed, Still White Smoke
#1
As some of you know, I've been tearing down and reassembling my engine. I finally got the starter to fire correctly and the engine started. Much to my dismay the dreaded white smoke returned. I'm at a complete loss. What I had assumed was a leaking o-ring between casing( and I did find a possible problem when I had it apart) is something else? I will dig deeper into the possibility that the leak is somewhere between the coolant system and the air injection system. Is it possible that the coolant is leaking into the air injection system and then being injected into the manifolds or into the last cat. converter? How is the air injected into the exhaust manifold? Does the air re-enter the casing at the exhaust port? I did see white residue at the front rotor exhaust port when I had it apart.
Please Help, I can't afford a new engine and hope I can salvage all the work I've done so far.

I don't have the measuring tools to test for warpage. Looks like I gambled and lost. I've got one more thing to verify, but now the starter is shot. Anybody got a spare I could buy. They want $100 for a remanufactured one. What is my cheapest route to a new engine?
Close to where I live there is another 2nd Gen that has been sitting for a couple of years. I think I'll drop buy and ask them a few questions. My wife will shoot me if I bring another one home.
