k&n filter and nitrous.
or pull the motor and go to town.... the stocker NAs don't have much to offer IMHO on the stock setup. Full standalone, exhaust, and a good port job will net anywhere from 160whp to 300whp depending on your port job...

The potential is truly endless depending on how deep your pockets are..
Series 5 NA (1989 to 1991) produces about 160hp(crank) stock, or about 130whp or so. With a full exhaust, cone filter and a fuel controller like the s-afc unit, you could curve the power to around 145whp maybe 155whp, depending on your tuning.
If you were to pull the motor, and do a large streetport, you should net about another 18% or 26ishwhp. That would land the car right up 170whp to 190whp... stock ecu w/ the above mods (IE: exhaust, s-afc, etc)
Swap over to a standalone like haltch or microtech, you should be able to tune the streetported motor to above 200whp.
Other engine options are bridge, jbridge, or peripheal port. each one offering more and more hp, but will take more and more money and tuning. The more porting, the less engine life.
Say you did swap over the T2..after all the parts are converted, you'd have a stock T2 powerplant, producing anywhere from 150whp to 190whp. You could streetport that motor and go to 220whp or so..
I can go on and on about combinations, but it just depends on how much you want to spend.
I don't personally know any good builders in NJ, but I know KDR in PA is good: http://www.kdrotary.com/
Also check out the dyno section of this forum to see what kind of power others are making w/ what mods...
