Need fast answer. S4 13BT rear iron vs S5 NA
#1
Long story short, the water jacket broke on the rear iron. I have some S5 NA irons sitting around, can the rear iron be used on the S4 T2? I will check to see if they're usable of course.
Any other engine/year that is compatible in case I can't find an 87T2?
Thanks

if you have a S5 t2 iron,it is better than an S4,and if you have more than one,let me know if you will sell it.

n/a irons do NOT work with TII engines they are NOT interchangeable
you can NOT mix & match s4 and s5 TII irons UNLESS you plan on spending a ridiculous amount of time matching all the port tunnels and gaskets etc.
the runners on them are slightly angled different (between s4 and s5 tii)
i know because a friend of mine assembled a "mixed" engine and didn't realize this until the engine was assembled and had to do some emergency porting of the port tunnels with the engine assembled.in otherwards it CAn be done but its a pita so ....just dont bother mix/matching.
use all s4t2 or all s5t2 irons
s5t2 irons ARE stronger then s4t2 irons

S4 t2 & S5 t2 are interchangable,i'm using a S5 rear iron w/S4 center and front irons,reason is i had a S4 core,but for the boost i want to run,i'm using a S5 rear for strength,not a big deal.

N/A irons are 6 port and turbo irons are 4 port, so no.

Yeah, I forgot all about the 4 port 6 port thing...duh...it was a long day yesterday. What if it was running NA though, and had a carb with a custom spacer plate on it? Would I be able to limp around with the 6 port rear iron?
I'm trying not to put any money into this as I'm saving for an REW towards the end of the year.
Thanks
